Snapshots

After several cold, rainy days, we finally had some sunshine for the kids to go outside and ride their new "John Deer/dump truck/jeep" and Nannie stopped by for a visit.

The poor hand-me-down toy is missing two legs and it's tail, but Addison kept saying "my puppy" with her own big puppy dog eyes and pouty face.

Merry Christmas!

After returning home from Nana & Papa's house on Christmas Eve, we unpacked and began our preparations for Santa's arrival. We made a few cookies for Santa, and Greyson insisted that Santa would like hot chocolate with marshmallows in addition to his milk and cookies. Greyson woke us up around 7:15am to let us know Santa had been to our house overnight and brought a new "Jeep"! After unwrapping all the presents we spent the day playing, listening to Greyson sing Christmas songs while playing his new guitar, watching Christmas movies and even bundled up to go outside in the afternoon to ride the new jeep. It was the perfect way to celebrate Christmas with our little family.

*Warning - picture overload. :)

"I Got Cars!!!"

Greyson was so excited about his new Hot Wheels set from Nana and Papa! I love his reaction!

Christmas with the Butlers - Part 2

We opened presents with the family on Saturday morning. We had fun watching the kids open lots of great gifts from Nana and Papa, but especially Greyson who went craaazy over his new Hot Wheels set. Greyson and Wyatt were inseparable the whole weekend, even sharing a chair during meals. Braylon received a race track, so the kids had fun assembling and playing with it (until the adults big boys took over to finish assembly and "make improvements"). Nana continued her tradition of matching Christmas pajamas for the kids and we spent most of the evening trying to get one picture of all six kids smiling at the same time ;)  Sunday morning we all went to Lake Pointe Church for the Christmas Eve service before heading home. We enjoyed getting to celebrate Christmas with the whole crew. Thanks for a fun weekend Nana and Papa!

Greyson was pretty excited about his new Hot Wheels ramp and cars! I love Wyatt's expression!
New computer, water bottle and kicks for Addie Sue.
Greyson loved tagging along with Wyatt all weekend.

Cheeeeeeeeeeese......Cheeeeeeeeeese!
Special Delivery! Nana always picks the cutest PJs!
Smile, Addison!
We arrived at at the Christmas Eve service an hour early to make sure we all had seats, so we killed some time taking family pictures with all the cute decorations.
Nana and Papa need a few more arms to contain all these wiggle worms!

Christmas with the Butlers

We spent the weekend prior to Christmas at Nana and Papa's house with the whole gang. Nana and Aunt Christi brought everything needed for the kiddos to make and decorate Christmas cookies. The kids made gingerbread men and houses, ate too many sprinkles and licked too much icing, and Addison learned that cookie dough tastes much better than baked cookies!

Another custom Christmas order. Shhh! It's a surprise! My sister and her husband are surprising their two girls with t-shirts for the family as the last clue of a Christmas morning scavenger hunt!

John 3:36 (as Told by a 4-Year-Old)

Greyson has been going to Awanas at our church for the past few months. His weekly verse a few weeks ago was John 3:36 - Whoever believes in the Son has "a turtle" life... aka eternal life.

Visiting Santa

We took the kids to see Santa and Mrs. Claus at D&D in New Braunfels. Greyson was super excited to see them and ran up to Santa and gave him a big hug. He told Santa he wanted a trampoline and a remote-control Jeep. Addison had no interest in talking to Santa, but did like the frozen yogurt at Orange Leaf afterwards. ;)

Killing time in the store hoping Addie would warm up to the idea of talking to Santa...
No such luck. She didn't want to go near him or even look at him!

Santa visited the kids' daycare the next week and Addison still wasn't interested in talking to him.
