Remembering Granny

Blake's Granny, Bonnie Jayroe Butler Lofland, was welcomed into Heaven on February 2, just one day shy of her 86th birthday. I only got to know her over a few years, but it's clear that she was a sweet, sweet lady who loved her family. Listening to the memories shared by all the family, it's evident that she was the true matriarch of the family. Blake always shared memories of riding bikes to his Granny and Papa's house after school with his sisters and he claimed to be "the favorite" grandkid. I always thought it was a bit self-proclaimed, but she definitely had a special place for Blake. Each time I saw her, she asked if I cooked for him and took good care of him. She lived a full 85 years and will be greatly missed by the whole Butler family - 4 kids, 12 grandkids and 25 great grandkids!

December 2015 - Addison was just 1 month old. Greyson refused to be in the picture.

While we were in town for the funeral, we got to spend some time with the cousins and extended family. It was great to see everyone and there were kids running everywhere, but I am sure Granny would have loved to see a full house!

The guys went check out the site of Blake's cousin's new house and pond near Rockwall. Greyson got to ride the "tractor" and has not stopped talking about "Andy's tractors" since!
