It snowed in New Braunfels on February 6. I didn't get to sleep in, but we did get a delayed start at daycare and work. There wasn't much accumulation, but we will take a "snow day" in South Texas whenever we can get it. We had mixture of snow, sleet and ice pellets. The ice pellets, called graupel, looked like Dippin' Dots. Science lesson of the day... it's a rare occurrence when supercooled water droplets coat a snowflake. It was too cold to take Greyson outside for such a small amount of "snow", but I did snap a couple of pictures on my way out the door and into work.
