Memorial Day

While we were eating breakfast with the Lutzs before they headed home on Sunday morning, we heard the door bell ring. We weren't expecting anyone and wondered who it could be at 8:30 on a Sunday morning. As I turned the corner to open the door, I saw Nannie peeking through the window. She just couldn't let the those grandbabies leave before giving them some more hugs and kisses... and a few rounds of the Chicken Dance and Hokey Pokey!

After Blake finished some yard work, he jumped in the pool with the kiddos to cool off.

Memorial Day Weekend

We didn't have plans for Memorial Day weekend, but when Jennifer sent me the cutest video of Wyatt saying he wanted to come to our house (at some point, not necessarily this weekend), we soon got a plan together for a quick Lutz Family get-together. We have been trying for several weeks to find a weekend where everyone was free, but between summer trips, baseball and everything else, we haven't pinned down a date. While not everyone was free the entire weekend, most of the family was able to come hang out at some point. Tanya and the girls arrived Friday evening, with the Lutzs not far behind them. Nannie and Guppy were knocking on the door early the next morning to see the grandbabies! Tanya and the girls headed home to catch the Utopia graduation, and then Amy came to hang out for a few hours later on Saturday afternoon. The kiddos had a blast swimming and playing in the back yard. We had our first cornhole tournament going with our new Spurs and Mavs boards, however there was no match for Team Blake/Krista! It was a quick, unexpected family get-together but I'm so glad it worked out. Maybe Wyatt should plan our weekend trips more often!

I think we need a bigger pool.

Soccer Shots

Greyson has been doing a weekly session of Soccer Shots at daycare since the end of March. He seemed to enjoy it and hopefully he learned a thing or two. When I asked him what he learned he said, "Coach has a tattoo." So, hopefully he learned a thing or two about soccer.

Weekend with The Moores - Part 2

Blake headed to Rockwall last weekend to help his parents install new flooring in their house. While we all would have loved to go, we didn't think myself and two toddlers would have been very helpful. Blake spent weekend helping complete some of the renovations Nana and Papa have been working on. I think she was a happy Mom on Mother's Day! The kiddos and I headed out to Utopia on Saturday morning to watch Hallie's baseball game. After the game we spent the day at the Moores' house and then went out to eat at Mac & Ernie's to celebrate Mother's Day. It was another great weekend!

Naptime snuggles with Aunt Tanya.
I love how Nannie is always ready to play with the kiddos...
...even on the trampoline!
This 3-year old just convinced Uncle Wayne to change the channel from a hunting show to a cartoon. ;)
I love how much these cousins love each other!

These big cousins are always soo good with Greyson and Addison when the toddler tornado comes to town.

Muffins With Mom

The kids' daycare hosted Muffins with Mom on Friday morning in celebration of Mother's Day. Greyson was so excited for me to sit at "his table" and eat breakfast with him. :) Being a momma is exhausting, but I wouldn't trade these two munchkins for anything!!

Weekend with The Moores

When the doctor told me it would take 2 to 8 weeks to recover from walking pneumonia, he was not kidding! While I am over the coughing and most other symptoms, I am still recovering from the lingering side effects. I get short of breath just from walking, my back and sides still ache from coughing so much and I swear it feels like my lungs are heavy! I feel like I was beat up and rolled down a hill! So.... this week it was the Moores to the rescue! Tanya has been offering (persistently like a big sister does) to watch the kids so I could get some rest, so I finally took her up on her offer. (Once she found out Greyson got to spend last weekend with Nannie and Guppy I would definitely be in trouble with her if I didn't!) Tanya, Lilly, Hallie and Grandpa met Blake in San Antonio to grab the carseats and all the kids' gear (I think Tanya forgot how much stuff we travel with!) and then picked Greyson and Addison up a little early from daycare. Greyson was so excited that Aunt Tanya was picking him up! Greyson is still in his extra-chatty phase so they had an interesting ride to Utopia.

While in Utopia, they went to Hallie's baseball game on Saturday morning, played outside and managed to drag all of Lilly and Hallie's toys out. Addison had every ball in the house out. Good thing Aunt Tanya and Uncle Wayne are such a cool aunt and uncle! Both kiddos did great all weekend! Lilly and Hallie are such great big cousins/babysitters and kept the kiddos entertained! We FaceTimed with them once on Saturday evening, but they could barely slow down to talk to us! It was strange last weekend to only have Addison with us when Greyson went to Nannie's, so it was extremely quiet without either of them! Blake and I even went out to dinner two nights in a row! It felt
strange not toting kids, a diaper bag and sippy cups along with us. I managed to get some rest and my back felt much better after having a few days free from picking Addison up and chasing toddlers. Thank you Moores and Nannie!
