Greyson loves having a passenger to cruise with him!
Addie is pretty excited Momma and Daddy finally let her ride too!

Everyone once in a while, we have a tear-free, we're actually gonna be on-time kind of morning. :)
Afternoon snack time at school.
Greyson discovered selfies and took over 70 pictures and videos within just a few minutes!

Princess Addison

While playing with Addison, I put a toy crown on my head. She quickly removed it from my head and put it on hers. I guess I have been demoted!

Kisses for Momma!

San Antonio Rodeo, Round 2

After our rodeo date night/late-Valentine's Day date earlier last week, we took our little buckaroos to the SA Rodeo. Greyson had a great time "milking" a cow, trying out all the demo tractors, riding the carousel (this kid loves carousels!), eating a tub of popcorn and of course getting to ride a monster truck in the carnival on the way out. Addison, on the other hand, wasn't as impressed. She didn't like being strapped in the stroller with so much to see and she fought a nap as long as she could. An indoor rodeo is pretty loud, but she finally dozed off during very end when I took her in the corridor part of the AT&T Center. We skipped the concert that day (Chris Jansen... Buy me a boat....) and met up with Wayne, Lilly and Hallie to check out some of the kid activities. The carnival was conveniently located on the way out, so we had to ride the monster trucks before heading home. Both kids were wore out and slept the whole way home!

San Antonio Rodeo

Our experience with our first ever babysitter went so well last month that we decided to have a monthly date night. Blake received a set of tickets for a Tuesday rodeo with Chris Young performing after the rodeo. Since we usually pick a rodeo date based on a convenient time to take the kiddos during the weekend rather than an artist we like, it was nice to stick around after the rodeo to see a performer we actually liked. The rodeo was good and Chris Young put on a great show. He has a lot more songs I know than I thought I did! It was a late night for us old folks on a school night, but the rodeo is always a fun time!

This bronc was getting a little antsy.
This guy was pretty entertaining with his 65-foot rope tricks.

Surprise Visit from the Lutz's

While my brother Bryan was in Austin for a two-week training, he visited us in New Braunfels for the weekend between the training. His wife Jennifer and the kids usually come with him, but decided to skip this one. My mom, Tanya and her kids, Amy and my dad were all planning on visiting on Sunday to see Bryan. Jennifer and the kids were missing Bryan, so Jennifer packed up the kiddos and told me she was coming after all! No one else knew about her impromptu road trip, so Bryan was surprised to see her and the kids walking in the door of our house Saturday evening. The rest of the family was just as shocked and confused the next day when they saw her minivan parked in the driveway. It was a beautiful day to play outside and we all were able to celebrate Amy's birthday together. She had lots of help blowing out the birthday candles!

Someone was sooo excited to see Uncle Bryan!
Addison didn't want Greyson to have Uncle Bryan all to himself!
Surprise! Nope, that's not Greyson. Bryan had to do a double-take when Wyatt walked in the door.

Guitar Lessons

The kids love when Daddy gets out his guitar and they get to bang on it and sing. Between singing his favorite song (Jingle Bells on repeat), Greyson's favorite game seems to be "accidentally" dropping the pick in the guitar hole and watching Daddy shake it all over in attempt to get it out.

Looking for the guitar pick
Notice the blue gloves? They're Greyson's latest guitar playing accessory. :)

The Lion King

Blake and I took Greyson to see the New Braunfels Performing Arts production of The Lion King at the Brauntex theater. Nannie babysat Addison while we took Gresyon on a special "Greyson Date". Since we have never been to the Brauntex, we were not sure what to expect and left totally impressed! All the actors were kids ranging from about 5 years old to high school. It was amazing to see each one of them remember all their lines and really act. Greyson did really well until the intermission, when he discovered the concession stand. The second half was a little harder for him to sit through, but overall I think he did great and enjoyed it. Afterwards, we went to Dairy Queen for an ice cream treat. That may have been his favorite part!
