Only Greyson would have Buzz Lightyear driving a John Deere tractor and hauling a pig in the trailer.

These are some of Greyson's daycare buddies that have been together since they were all in the infant room - Clayton, John and Zane.

Birthday Party Videos

Nannie took a few videos at Greyson's birthday party earlier this month. Once he saw the wheels on one of his presents, he tried to enlist Nannie to help him unwrap it.

I realized he wasn't going to give up, so I let him unwrap the present before we ate lunch. He was pretty excited and spent most of the rest of the afternoon sitting in it (sometimes just so none of the other kids would sneak in it). I had to feed him lunch through the window as he scooted by and he opened the rest of his presents while sitting in it.

Greyson loved blowing out his birthday candle so much that he did it several times before we even finished singing "Happy Birthday" to him. He slowly took a few bites of the Oreo cookies and cupcake to (finally) reveal that his little sibling is a GIRL!

Snapshots

Painting with colored bubbles at daycare for Bubbles Week.
I'm probably going to regret letting him do this every time we go to Lowe's in the future, but he was SO excited to sit on the "tractor".
Oh, this kid.... I walked out of his room for two seconds and walked back in to this. He was laughing and saying, "Hiney" while wiping himself. I guess it's time to buy him a potty.
He even threw the wipe in the trashcan.

New Toys!

Greyson has enjoyed spending time outside playing with all his new toys he received for his birthday. It's usually difficult to get him back inside to take a bath, but he's liking the few extra hours of fresh air.

Reading "Buzz" on the way to daycare.
Pouring and splashing in the water table.
He might be a lefty! So far he bats and hits golf balls left-handed.
Line-drive right at Momma!

Greyson's 2 Year Check-up

I took Greyson for his 2 year check-up on July 16th. He loved making silly faces in the wavy mirror in the waiting room and showing me how high he can jump while we waited for the pediatrician. He's up to 29 lbs 13.5 oz (72nd percentile) and is 2 ft 11.5 in tall (84th percentile). He hasn't had quite the same appetite lately as he usually does, and he has been waking up during the night and really early in the morning. Until recently, he has been sleeping from 8pm to 6:30-7am, so maybe this is is funny way of preparing us for a newborn. He already has his first set of molars, but none of his canine teeth have come through yet. Let's hope they come through soon and we all get some solid sleep. His vocabulary is increasing and he's starting to talk in two and three-word sentences. Sometimes it's "Momma, NO!", but still, it's a sentence. He surprised Blake and I recently when he said, "I'm Greyson".

We're Homeowners!

July has been a busy month for us - and it's only halfway done! July 2nd was our 4th anniversary, July 8th we had our gender reveal sonogram for Baby Butler #2, July 9 was Greyson's second birthday, July 11 was his birthday party/gender reveal of Baby to our family and on July 15 we closed on our very own house! We had a very specific search criteria that mainly revolved around a particular, and rather small, school district. Since houses in this area sell so fast, Blake has kept a very close eye on the houses that have become available. On June 15, he saw one listed online that would be great for us. Blake called our realtor and we went to see it that same evening. Two other families and their realtors showed up to see the house while we were there, so we knew we would have to act quick if we wanted this house. By the time we submitted our offer the next day, there were already a few other offers. Luckily, the sellers picked ours and exactly one month later we signed all the paperwork to make it ours. We plan to replace all the flooring and paint the interior walls and cabinets to begin with, with lots of other projects to follow. We will have plenty of Before & After pictures coming soon!

Greyson's Birthday Party

We celebrated Greyson's second birthday with a family party on the Saturday following his birthday at our neighborhood clubhouse. Almost the whole family came to New Braunfels (we were just missing Gage and Uncle Brad) to celebrate Greyson's birthday and find out the gender of Baby Butler #2. We had a sonogram for the baby just a few days before the party, so Greyson had the honor of announcing his baby SISTER with his pink cupcake to the family. Blake and Jason cooked hamburgers and hotdogs for the whole crew. The kids played with Greyson's new water table (without water for the day), colored Mickey Mouse pictures and pushed/chased Greyson in his new Little Tikes car (that he was not willing to share), while the adults took turns holding Harper and competing in a cornhole tournament. Aside from a few toddler meltdowns and having to jump into the pool in my capris and sandals to chase after Greyson, it was a great weekend with the family celebrating our growing little family!

Warning: LOTS of pictures ahead.

The Butler girls
Jennifer got a hold of Harper before I even knew she was there!
Wyatt liked the cookies!
Caitlin trying to get her balloon back from Grandpa.
The cooks and their helpers.
Coloring kept them entertained for about three minutes before they were on to the next thing.
Lilly, Nannie and Grandpa making their gender predictions for Baby Butler #2.
Girl seemed to be the popular choice for the gender predictions. Twelve people (Uncle Jason, Nannie, Nana, Uncle Bryan, Aunt Jennifer, Aunt Tanya, Braylon, Uncle Barrett, Uncle Wayne, Lilly, Grandpa and Aunt Amy) guessed GIRL. Only five people (Guppy, Aunt Christi, Aunt Bonnie, Hallie and Papa) guessed BOY for Baby Butler #2. Blake and I thought we would have another boy. :)
Balloons = best party entertainment ever.
Happy Birthday to you! Greyson took his time eating the Oreos and licking the icing off his cupcake while everyone eagerly waited to see if the cupcake was pink or blue inside.
Still eating...
PINK! It's a GIRL!
I love Greyson's new t-shirt!
We couldn't get Greyson out of his car, so he opened the rest of his presents while sitting in it.
Pinata time!
Caitlin filling up her bag.
The Lutz girls
Amy and Christi getting warmed up for their cornhole match.
Greyson loves his new car! It was wrapped in trashbag-like wrapping paper with the wheels sticking out. Once he discovered what it was, he begged me to open it. I poked a hole in the wrapping and he tore it open and jumped in!
The cornhole tournament continued throughout the day.

Happy Birthday, Greyson!

Thursday, July 9 was Greyson's second birthday... and just like that our baby is TWO! We sang Happy Birthday and Greyson had his very own cupcake. He loved blowing out the candle. Then, he got to open his present. He heard the Buzz Lightyear sounds before he tore the paper off and was even more excited when he saw him in the package. Happy Birthday to our little munchkin!
