Father's Day Weekend

We spent Father's Day weekend in Huntsville visiting the Butler side of the family. The whole family was there, including the newest addition, Harper. Greyson was entertained playing with Gage, Braylon and Wyatt and I got to get some newborn baby snuggles in while Greyson wasn't looking. I don't think he was ever seen a baby that little (just 3 days old!), so he was curious to check her out. We had a great time meeting Harper and celebrating all the great dads in our family!

Barbie Jeep or Razor, Greyson is always up for a ride.
I bet Papa's arms were tired!

Welcome, Harper Grace!

We have a brand new niece on the Butler side of family! Blake's younger sister, Bonnie, and her husband Jason welcomed Harper Grace on June 17. We are all so excited for the first girl and can't wait to see her rough up all these boy cousins and big brother! I was definitely expecting her to have dark hair like her momma. She is just perfect and I think her momma and daddy are pretty excited to welcome their new little munchkin!

Greyson's Birthday Wish List

A few of you have asked me for ideas for a birthday present for our favorite soon-to-be TWO year old, so I put together a list of a few things we think he would like. These are just some ideas, so don't feel like you have to get something off this list. He had a blast playing with a stack of plastic cups, so I'm sure he will love anything, hugs and kisses included! :)

Toy Lawn Mower - just like Daddy's!
Little Blue Truck Leads the Way - his favorite book is also in this series, Little Blue Truck
Little Tikes Cozy Coupe
Bat and T-Ball Set
AquaDoodle Drawing Mat
DVDs - Toy Story 1, 2 or 3, Finding Nemo, etc.
Coloring Book and Crayons
Paints and Paintbrush
Bubbles
Pajamas (3T)
Swimsuit & Rashguard Shirt (2T)

We can't wait to see everyone in a few weeks!

Snapshots

Here are a few snapshots from the first part of June...

We went on a family date night to Chili's since I had been craving the Southwester Egg Rolls. We ordered chips & salsa and Greyson immediately picked up a chip and started dipping it in the salsa before he even saw us do it or we had a bite. We didn't even know he liked chips & salsa but apparently he loved it!
And of course he filled up on chips & salsa and didn't eat any of his dinner.
Such a serious golfer.
First time in the splash pad and he was going nonstop!
Reading his favorite book with Daddy, Little Blue Truck.
Poppin' wheelies with Daddy.
The anticipation of watching Daddy throw a ball on the roof and waiting to see it come back down!

So much fun catching the "budd-fies" (butterflies)!

Fischer Park

The newest park in New Braunfels is finally open! After several rainy weekends, we were finally able to check out Fischer Park this past Saturday. The weather set the final touches in landscaping back and a few sections were closed off, but we were still able to walk around most of it out. There is a large pond for fishing and kayaking, running and bike trails, a huge sand box for "archaeology digs", a garden, a special toddler play area, covered pavilions, a small amphitheater and.... A SPLASH PAD! Greyson didn't play in the splash pad this time since we were just exploring, but the park is very close to our house, so I'm sure we will be there several times throughout this summer!

He stopped every time on his way up the steps to poke his head through and say, "Boo!"

Playtime with Lilly and Hallie

Lilly and Hallie spent a few days with Nannie and Guppy (Gary) last week to kick off their summer break, so they came over one evening to hang out. Lilly and Hallie tried reading their new library books to Greyson. Their books have more words per page and Greyson was a little impatient not being able to turn the pages fast enough, so they moved on to dump truck races.

And one more video too cute not to share - Greyson featuring the Dancing Chicken...
