Let's Rodeo, San Antonio!

The San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo is in full swing. Last Sunday, my sister and her family joined us for a fun day at the rodeo. We walked the grounds and livestock barns before the rodeo and performance by Pentatonix. Greyson loved seeing the cows up close and "mooing" at them. The rodeo was right in the middle of Greyson's usual nap time, and he held out as long as possible, but finally crashed during the bull riding, the last event. I took him into the bar/lounge area where it was a little bit quieter during the Pentatonix concert, but he soon woke up and was ready to go again.

18 Months Old

Greyson hit the 18 month-mark on January 9 and had his well-child visit a few weeks later. He's been talking up a storm within the last few weeks and seems to learn at least one new word a day. Greyson and I were working on learning "Spurs", then Blake sabotaged our lesson when we moved on to "Go Spurs Go". He'll repeat just about anything you ask him to say (so be careful what you say!). He can point out and say body parts and squints every time he says "eyeeesss". He knows several animal sounds, and I think the chicken's "bock bock" sound might be his favorite. He LOVES to dance and help Momma and Daddy (unload the dishwasher, throw things in the trash or recycle bin, put laundry in the dryer). He's our little Big Helper! He also likes to help me when I dress him. I got a report that he took his pants off three times in one day at daycare. He hasn't done this at home or since then at daycare, so I don't know what go into him. Silly boy!

So far, he's not really a picky eater. He likes bananas, chicken, backstrap, sweet potatoes, cucumber slices and even carrots, with a little ranch dressing, of course! He weighs 26 pounds 1.5 ounces (73rd percentile) and is 34 inches tall (90th percentile). He wouldn't sit still during these measurements, so they may be a tad off.

Trying to put on his shoes at the doctor's office.
He loves his "back back".
Painting on a cold, rainy day.
He loves the swings at the park and cried when we had to leave!
Enjoying some sunshine at the park.
