Four Months Old

Guess who is four months old already...this smiling kid! We love making Greyson laugh and that big ol' toothless grin. He had a great check-up, with the exception of the shots, which are never fun. Have I mentioned how much I hate shots?? He's up to 14 lbs. 3 oz. (21st percentile) and 26 inches long (82nd percentile). His hair is getting much lighter. Maybe he will be a blondie like his Momma!

Hallie's Soccer Game

We were able to catch Hallie's last two soccer games of the season. The first time the crowd cheered and clapped, Greyson started crying. I guess he wasn't as excited about the goal as everyone else, but we enjoyed watching our favorite soccer star in action.

Snapshots

Here are a few snapshots of Greyson recently. He has been exploring with his hands lately, reaching and grabbing toys, blankets or anything else within reach. Here he is helping Blake hold his bottle.

One morning on our way out the door, I had to stop and snap a picture. I couldn't believe how big Greyson looked in his car seat. It's like he grew overnight! PS - Don't you just love those cheeks?!

We haven't had too many chances to walk around the neighborhood, but one day when it wasn't too hot and before it got cold, we took a stroll around the block. I didn't run my usual route, but stayed close to the house just in case there was a meltdown... or I realized how out of shape I really am and couldn't make it back to the house!

Wurstfest

We took Greyson to his first Wurstfest, New Braunfels' 10 Day Salute to Sausage! It's a Oktoberfest-style festival in New Braunfels that thousands of people from all over attend to celebrate the town's German heritage and get their fill of sausage on a stick, beer and some authentic polka tunes! The pork chop on a stick was pretty good, and we had to get our usual, sausage and potato pancakes with applesauce! If you don't go for the food, it at least provides some pretty entertaining people-watching with grown men dressed in their official Wurstfest lederhosens and women in their dirndl dresses!

We waited in line way too long for this potato pancake, but it was so good!

Wyatt's 1st Birthday Party

Our  nephew, Wyatt turned one year old on October 30. Jennifer and Bryan threw a Dr. Seuss themed birthday party at the park in Bullard and we all went to watch Wyatt open lots of presents and eat cake. It was Greyson's second birthday party, and again he slept through the whole thing! I'm sure he will learn how great cake and candy are soon enough!

What's a birthday party without a few tears?!
He's not too sure about this stuff...
Going...

Going...

Gone!

Wyatt even shared some of his new toys.

Just Talkin'

Our little man has been chattering and making all sorts of silly sounds lately. Every time I get the camera or phone out to catch him, he is suddenly more interested in what I am doing and stops. I was able to catch a little bit, but please ignore my baby talk...

Fun in the Bubmo

Greyson has been practicing sitting up with the help of his Bumbo chair. He's still pretty wobbly, but I think he thought it was nice to have a different view instead of always looking up from the floor.

Look at that lip curl!
