Two Months Old

Greyson turned two months old on September 9th. I took him to the doctor for a checkup and unfortunately, immunization shots. He was in a good mood for the doctor, but as soon as he felt the prick of the needle he let out a terrible scream. He calmed down pretty quickly, until the nurse did it again on the other leg! I think he already hate shots as much as his momma. He had a good check-up and is 24.5 inches long (97th percentile) and 11 lbs 5 oz (24th percentile). It may be time to get this boy some meat and taters!

All smiles!
I couldn't resist the hat. Who doesn't love a sharp dressed man?!

Look at those long legs!

Visiting Nana & Papa

This past weekend we went to Nana and Papa’s in Rockwall. Christi, Brad, Braylon and Wyatt also came to visit. They hadn’t seen Greyson since he was a few days old so we all got to catch up before going to a birthday party. The whole Rockwall crew got to meet Greyson and Wyatt, but everyone thought Wyatt was our baby becuase he has red hair like Blake had when he was younger! They are only about six weeks apart so it will be fun to watch them run around together, but for now I think Greyson was more interested in eating, sleeping and cuddling with Nana and Papa.

Greyson and Wyatt

We stopped to see Blake’s Granny on the way out of town. It was her first time to meet Wyatt and Greyson. She was pretty excited to see those babies!

Greyson wasn't too excited about the ride home...

Vacation is Over...

All good things must come to an end.... my maternity leave is over and Greyson started daycare at the beginning of September. Of course it was hard to leave him after spending the past eight weeks with him, but he was in a good mood, so that made it a tad bit easier. All the teachers have said Greyson is a good baby, which we already knew! Everything is working out well and I have managed to make it to work on time everyday... so far.

We survived our first week!

They were celebrating Community Helper's Week at the daycare to honor the local police officers and firefighters. Greyson's first art project is below.

Nana's Ranch

We took Greyson to Nana’s Ranch for the first time the last two weekends in August to get ready for deer season - our first overnight trip! In addition to everything we usually take to the ranch, we were loaded down with the pack 'n play, bottles, diapers and way too much other stuff that I thought we needed (but never used). Blake and Wayne built another deer blind and fenced off the feeders to keep the hogs out. Tanya, Lilly and Hallie hung out with me when they weren’t helping the guys... and Greyson and I just hung out in the AC all day!

Happy to be at the ranch!

The second weekend Nana came to watch Greyson while I helped Blake finish up the blind and fencing and filled the feeders. I think we are ready to go for Opening Day!

Our Little Bobblehead

Greyson is learning to hold his head up. He works so hard to get that big ol' noggin propped up. I caught him from tipping over just before I took this picture.

At 7 1/2 weeks old it seemed like Greyson got better at holding his head up overnight, so I decided to grab the video camera and record him for a few minutes.

Just as I was about to help him back up, he rolled over! And I missed it!

And one more...

August Pictures

Here are some pictures from August. Greyson turned 6 weeks old on August 20. As you can  see, he likes to smile!
